The Beginning of the end of the beginning…

Revisitng your first love

This has been more than 25 years in the making. I started shooting, first with a 110 film camera, around age 12. Just my fiends and our excursions, sometimes just things that interested me. Later in life as a young adult, I got a hold of a Minolta 201 SRT. And that reinvigorated my love for photography. In abut 2001, I joined Al Collins School of Graphic Design in Arizona, and I took some classes to hone my skills, as well as earn my degree in Visual Communication. But then family as well as other obligations took center stage, and photography took a backseat. Nonetheless, in my heart of hearts, I have always wanted to pursuit my passion for photography. And so years later, in the summer-winter of 2019, I started putting my masterplan together. First, in theory only. But slowly, I started collecting the right gear. I also started revisiting my photography books and equipment. But the thing that got me more amped up, more than anything else, is my daughters. They wanted to create a YouTube Chanel. And so it happened, as I was assisting them in acquiring for them their first GoPro’s, helping them with set up and editing, that it reignited my passion for photography. As I explored the topics on how to best hep them get started, I knew what I wanted to do more than ever! I started listening to podcasts and YouTube videos, just to refresh all the knowledge that had faded over the years.

And the advice I heard, resonated with me over and over again… JUST KEEP SHOOTING.

And that is EXACTLY what I intend to do. I intend to do it proffesionaly, and as a creative outlet.
